Root Canal

The inner layer of the tooth is known as the pulp. This is an area consisting of various nerves, tissues, and blood vessels. Once infection or serious injury reaches this particular area of a tooth, immense pain can develop. When this happens, the only way to save the tooth from extraction is for our team to perform a root canal. By removing the infected pulp and cleaning out any remaining debris, we can fill the tooth with composite resin. We will then place a custom-made dental crown on top for added protection against decay and damage.

Tooth Extractions

The goal of our dentists is to help our patients keep their natural, healthy teeth for as long as possible. Unfortunately, this cannot always be the reality, as severe decay and damage can lead to serious oral health problems. When this occurs, the only solution may be to extract the tooth to prevent additional problems from developing. Using special dental instruments, we will gently remove the tooth from its socket. Depending on the complexity of the extraction, a patient may only need a few days to recover. Unless designated as unnecessary by our team, the extracted tooth will need to be replaced with a dental implant or fixed bridge, both of which can prove beneficial at restoring an individual’s smile.

Wisdom Tooth Extractions

Although considered a rite of passage for many teenagers, it is not always necessary to have wisdom teeth removed. Depending on the progress of these third molars and whether they erupt correctly or not, our team will determine if they need to be extracted. In cases where these teeth need to be removed, the team will evaluate if the teeth are impacted or partially erupted, both of which require different methods of extraction. With an impacted wisdom tooth, we will make a small incision in the gums and if necessary, remove the tooth in pieces for a smoother procedure.
