Frequently Asked Dentistry Questions

Our team is always eager to help you take great care of your teeth, and that includes our willingness to take time to answer any questions you might have. In our experience, the greater a patient’s dental knowledge, the healthier they are. That is why we have put together a list of answers to some of the frequently asked dentistry questions we receive below. Be sure to give us a call if you do not see your question answered here — we are always eager to chat with you!

Do You Accept My Dental Insurance?

We are an insurance-friendly dental office. We gladly accept payment from practically any PPO plan, and we are in-network with several major providers. If you would like details on how we can help you take advantage of our benefits, gather your insurance information and give us a call.

How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?

We recommend that most patients visit us every six months for a cleaning and checkup. However, some individuals, particularly those with periodontal disease, should see us at least 3 – 4 times a year.

How Can I Cope with a Toothache?

If the pain is minor, you might just have something stuck between your teeth, so thoroughly floss the area. If the pain is severe, or flossing does not help, call us to schedule an emergency appointment. We will probably be able to see you on the same day you call.

I Do Not Like the Way My Teeth Look. What Can I Do About That?

We offer a range of cosmetic services that can dramatically change the way teeth look. Whether you simply want to vanquish old stains or you require a complete smile makeover, we are ready to help.

Do You Have any Restrictions on Who You Accept as Patients?

We welcome patients of all ages and levels of oral health into our dental office. We are able to handle most dental issues in house, but in the rare case that we cannot address a specific situation, we can provide referrals to local specialists.

How Can I Deal With Dental Anxiety?

If you are nervous about your appointment, let us know. We will go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at ease. We also have a few sedation options available, including both nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation.
